PAVE THE WAY FOR VICTORY

Psalm 5:3 (NIV) “In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly”.  

Did you know that every morning you have the opportunity to set the tone for your whole day? That is one thing the Psalmist according to today’s Bible passage did constantly. He made sure that he talked to God first thing in the morning and take his plans and activities for the day to God. That is entrusting the day into the hands of God who has the day in His hands and under His control. It is unfortunate to see people who call themselves Christians turning to their mobile phones first thing in the morning and not their Bibles. Some do not make room for their quiet time with God at all.  When you set the tone for the day by committing your day into the hands of God, you pave the way to walk in victory for the day. When God is ordering your steps and leading you, there is no way you will fail in life. When you put God first and decide to go out with a grateful attitude and a positive frame of mind, not only will you feel better, but you are going to draw in the good things of God. You are paving the way for success and victory. But if you get up thinking, “Man, life is a struggle. Nothing good ever happens to me. It is going to be a lousy day,” then you are going to attract defeat, failure and mediocrity. Today, choose to set your day in the right direction. Find something to thank God for. If you have to, make a list of all the good things in your life and post it on your bathroom mirror. As you continually choose to set your mind on Him first thing in the morning, you will pave the way to victory and enjoy the good things He has instore for you. If you are not doing so already as a reader of this devotional guide, make it a point to set the tone for your day by first committing your day into the hands of God by prayer and studying of His Word first thing in the morning. Make this a habit and see God lead you into a victorious lifestyle.
