DISTANCE IS NOT A BARRIER WHEN IT COMES TO PRAYER

John 4:21 “Jesus said to her, Woman, believe me, the hour is coming, when you will neither in this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father.”

One thing you should never lose sight of as a child of God is that distance is never a barrier when it comes to prayer. The world of prayer is a world where you can control the physical in the spiritual world. Through prayers, you can control just about anything, “Verily I say unto you, whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 18:18). This promise is as much for the disciples as it is for us believers. We have the power to call forth, let go, create and make alive by means of prayer. Do you know that God’s power has no limit? So, distance is not a barrier to Him. He is near to those who are calling him. “The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth” (Psalms 145:18).

You can call on him in the church, your place of work or business, in the convenience, in the vehicle while on a journey etc. When you exercise faith, the manifestation of your prayer point will find expression no matter where you are. Take for instance the character in our text; he did not need Jesus to go to his house to pray for his sick servant neither did he do the stress of carrying his servant to Jesus. He went by faith and received answer to his prayer.

Are you believing God for something for yourself, family or friends? Your location does not matter, you can choose to be in your closet or church; you can also choose to pray mildly or be a little more persistent like the widow in Luke 18:1-5.

Confession for Today

I decree and declare that distance is never a barrier in the spirit, so I control the happenings in my life with prayer in the mighty name of Jesus.
