GOING UP BY THE RIGHT MINDSET

Rev Isaac Osei-Bonsu, popularly referred to as Rev OB, is a Ghanaian preacher and founder of the Moments of Glory Prayer Army. Rev OB is seen as a revivalist whose ministry has brought out the awakening of the Body of Christ to prayer in Ghana and around the globe. His passion as a young preacher was to pray for revival in the Body of Christ, not knowing God was preparing him to lead such a revival in the nations.

Confession for Today

Proverbs 23:7 “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, says he to you; but his heart is not with you”.

It has been established that God designed and destined us for a life of excellence, distinction and greatness.  We have a destiny of greatness in God according to Ephesians 2:6. This means that it is an abuse of our identity with God to remain small or little in life. Mediocrity is never the heritage of children of God.  Now, one key to attaining our heights of greatness in God is cultivating the Right Mindset. Proverbs 23:7 says: “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, says he to you; but his heart is not with you”.  You need the mentality of excellence and greatness to be really great in life. You cannot be excellent in life if your mind is filled with thoughts of mediocrity.

Your life turns out to be what you have programmed in your thoughts.  For example, you can continually think, “I am not inferior to anyone!  I am destined to be up in life. I may be at this level now, but I am destined to be at the top and I must get there. Anywhere important people in this world gather, I will be there one day representing the Kingdom of God as a voice for God.” When you fill your mind with these kinds of thoughts, you cannot remain low in life.

Develop this mentality as you read God’s Word. Make it a must to examine yourself; what thoughts fill your heart at the moment? Are they thoughts of excellence or those of mediocrity? Always remember that you cannot be excellent in life if your mind is filled with thoughts of mediocrity.
