CAN YOU DEFEND YOUR ACTIONS BEFORE GOD?

Rev Isaac Osei-Bonsu, popularly referred to as Rev OB, is a Ghanaian preacher and founder of the Moments of Glory Prayer Army. Rev OB is seen as a revivalist whose ministry has brought out the awakening of the Body of Christ to prayer in Ghana and around the globe. His passion as a young preacher was to pray for revival in the Body of Christ, not knowing God was preparing him to lead such a revival in the nations.

Today's Bible Verse

2 Corinthians 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad”.

Confession for Today

I decree and declare to always weigh my actions light with the word of God in Jesus mighty name

One fact no born again child of God should lose sight of is  that, one day we shall all stand before the judgment throne of God and face judgment. With this notion in mind, you must always think of your actions as to whether you can defend them before God or not. When the serpent convinced Eve to eat the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden in Genesis 3, the Bible says that, Eve saw the tree was good for food and was pleasant to the eyes. The face that the fruit was pleasing to the eye did not negate God’s command not to eat that fruit. As a child of God, you must endeavor not to do anything you cannot defend before God on the last day.

What you ought to know is that, God is Omnipresent and Omniscient. He sees and knows all that you do; even those secret sins you indulge in thinking no one is watching. On the last day, you will be made to give account of all your actions here on earth. The question is, will you be able to defend all your actions before God. Note that though God has given you your free will in life, you shall be answerable before Him one day on all the actions you undertook here on earth. Yes the society might not frown on drinking, smoking, formication and other vices; but God abhors them so you must not indulge in them as a child of God. You must not move by the direction of the world; but by the word at all times.

Always let your actions be guided by 1 Corinthians 10:23 “All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful; all things are lawful for me, but not all things edify”. The question is, can you defend before God on the last day what you are doing today? Do not do anything you cannot defend before God on the last day. Make sure you do only what you can defend before God. Everything does not end here on earth. Live your life with the consciousness of eternity; always remember that everything we do in this world will be accounted for.
