Mark 5:36 “As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he said to the ruler of the synagogue, ‘Do not be afraid, only believe’”.
When you fill your life with faith which comes from the word of God, you give fear no room to stay in your life. When things do not happen on your timetable, the more you trust God, the less afraid you will be. It is not for nothing that the phrase “fear not” appears in the Bible 365 times. God wants you to get the message that you should not fear but trust His timing. The opposite of faith is fear and that is a weapon that the enemy uses to destroy the faith of many Christians. When you have your absolute trust in God, it becomes the most important fear reliever for your life. As a believer, it is wrong to set time or deadlines for God when you ask for something from Him in prayer. What you ought to know is that your time is in His hands and His timing is the best for your life. Like what the Psalmist says in Psalm 31:14-15, “But as for me, I trust in you, O Lord, I say you are my God. My times are in your hands”. When you commit your times into the hands of God, you allow Him to lead and guide you into doing what is best for you at the right time. To the people, the ruler of the synagogue had no business being with Jesus any longer since his daughter was dead. But in God’s timing, the girl came back to life. When Jesus got to the house, He raised the dead girl back to life. When you trust God, you will learn to trust in His timing for your life, for He surely knows best. Place your timing in God’s hands and all things will work out for your good.
Confession for Today
I decree and declare that my time is in the hands of God and so, I shall not fear in the mighty name of Jesus.
