ONLY SPEAK THE WORD

Rev Isaac Osei-Bonsu, popularly referred to as Rev OB, is a Ghanaian preacher and founder of the Moments of Glory Prayer Army. Rev OB is seen as a revivalist whose ministry has brought out the awakening of the Body of Christ to prayer in Ghana and around the globe. His passion as a young preacher was to pray for revival in the Body of Christ, not knowing God was preparing him to lead such a revival in the nations.

Confession for Today

Proverbs 13:3 (AMP) “The one who guards his mouth [thinking before he speaks] protects his life. The one who opens his lips wide [and chatters without thinking] comes to ruin.”

We cannot call things the way they are and expect them to change. If there are things in your life or in your family that are contrary to what the Word of God has promised, then stop complaining about them and start speaking what the Word says they should be. God’s Word is alive and powerful! When we speak it boldly out of our mouths, it becomes a weapon of faith against every circumstance that doesn’t line up with the Word.  It’s not enough to just believe with our hearts – we must speak out our convictions too. That’s because while faith has the power to bring change to every circumstance, that power is only released through our words!  2 Corinthians 4:13 says, “And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, ‘I believed and therefore I spoke,’ we also believe and therefore speak.” The Bible promises that the expectation of the righteous will not be cut off (Proverbs 23:18). We need to be guarding our mouths and watching that the words we speak are absolutely in line with what God’s Word says! Our words carry great power, the Bible says that death and life are in the power of the tongue, (Proverbs 18:21) and the person who guards their mouth preserves their life (Proverbs 13:3). Believers should be using words to build people up and not tear them down. We should be declaring righteousness, and peace over our lives, over our families and over our communities. The Bible says the words of our mouths and the meditation of our hearts need to be pleasing to God and acceptable in His sight. Faith is what pleases God and so, we should be speaking words of faith. And the very things that come into our lives are the results of the things we have been speaking. With the truth of God’s Word in our hearts, our words will be full of life and faith, and as a result, those words become seeds that go out and produce a harvest of whatever we have been saying!

I decree and declare to speak forth faith at all times and not consider my circumstances in the mighty name of Jesus.
