“The fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not go out. The priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and he shall arrange the burnt offering on it and shall burn on it the fat of the peace offerings. Fire shall be kept burning on the altar continually; it shall not go out.”
The priests in the days of old were to ensure that the fire on the altar would burn continually.
The Lord instructed them not to let the fire go out; they were to ensure that the fire on the altar will ever be burning.
I pray for you that the fire on your altar shall ever be burning in the name of Jesus!
I pray that whatever is trying to quench your fire is under arrest right now in the name of Jesus!
Whatever is working to blow out your fire is under arrest right now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth!
I pray that the fire on your altar shall ever be burning in the name of Jesus!
May the Lord set your heart on fire afresh for Him in the mighty name of Jesus!
According to the direction that the Lord gave to the priests, for the fire to burn brightly they needed to look for wood and lay it on the altar; animals too had to be examined and offered.
They were also to remove ashes from the fire.
And the Lord said to them that “if you are able to carry out these instructions, the fire shall not go out”.
In the New Testament we are all priests, according to 1 Peter 2:9.
And so we are also instructed by the Spirit of the Lord to ensure that the fire on the altar of our hearts is ever burning.
We must keep the fire burning.
As we pray, sing and read the word of God and expect to hear the voice of the Spirit, we are able to keep the fire on the altar of our hearts ever burning.
Apostle Paul through the Holy Spirit said to Timothy his son that “I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God which is in you by the putting on of my hands”. (2 Timothy 1:6)
This is your duty as a child of God, to fan into flame the fire that you already have in you.
We need to add wood to the fire to allow the fire to burn always; that wood is the word of God.
Stay with your Bible; listen to the word of God; hear the word of the Lord.
Listen to the voice of the Spirit always, and your fire will ever be burning.
That coldness in your spirit must die today.
The Lord said the other day that “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” (Revelations 3:15,16)
You have to restore the broken altars in your life as a child of God in order to be on fire for God.
The altar is a place of encounter; that is where you encounter God.
That is why the fire on the altar must ever be burning.
The altar is a place of worship and covenant; that is why we offer sacrifices on the altar.
It is also a place of intercession for the interests of others, inspired by the Holy Spirit.
If you can be an intercessor as a child of God for the well-being of others, I can assure you that the fire on your altar will ever be burning.
Intercede for others; pray for others; love others; encourage others.
If you are able to constantly intercede for the well-being of others, your fire will ever be burning.
There are times you need to be alone with God; this is how you keep your fire ever burning.
Have passion for the presence of God; love the presence of God.
Hunger for the presence of God.
“In His presence there is fullness of joy; at His right hand there are pleasures forevermore.”
You need faith to keep your fire burning.
You need holiness, purification, consecration, cleansing to keep the fire burning.
Because the altar is sacred and clean; that is why there is the need for you to be holy.
Stay away from all filthiness and every sin.
You must also pray; be a prayer addict.
Be a student of the word of God.
You must also witness about Jesus on daily basis.
Talk to others about Christ; evangelize.
Be filled with the Holy Ghost.
Fellowship with others who are on fire for the Lord; because the fire of the Holy Ghost is contagious.
Stop gossiping; stop talking against men of God; stop loving money.
Stay away from bitterness and unforgiveness.
Don’t entertain stress in your life.
You are able to do all these things by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to enable your fire to ever be burning.
