Exodus 14:14 “The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace”.
Isn’t it surprising to come across born again believers fighting their battles on their own? This is because God who is our heavenly Father is a mighty man in battle. He has asked us to cast all our burdens (including our battles) unto Him, for He cares for us according to Psalm 55:22. One fact you should not lose sight of is that, as a believer, you fight in victory and not for victory. This is because your victory was won for you by Christ Jesus on the cross of Calvary. When the Israelites were at the banks of the Red Sea with Pharaoh and his army in hot pursuit, they left the battle into the hands of God. There was no way they could have fought and won against the Egyptian army. When God decided to fight for them, none of the Israelites lifted a finger for their victory. God caused a passage through the Red Sea for their escape while causing the same sea to swallow up the entire Egyptian army. The enemy felt he had cornered the Israelites; little did he know that God was fighting in their corner and victory was certain. I do not know the battles confronting your life as a reader of this devotional guide, but I am here to tell you that God is prepared to fight for you if you hand over your battles to Him in prayers. May God fight your battles for you in your marriage, finances, health, business, education and every area of your life in the name of Jesus. May your enemies be subdued by the power of God and victory your portion as God fights on your behalf from today in the mighty name of Jesus.
Confession for Today
I decree and declare that I am a winner in all my life’s battles, for I have handed over all my battles to God to fight for me in the mighty name of Jesus.
