Psalm 56:3 “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
In the empty spaces of surrender, God’s story unfolds with grace and purpose in our lives. Just like a book with empty pages awaiting words of wisdom and guidance, our hearts must be open and willing to receive His divine plan. As it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Imagine our hearts as vessels, vessels that need to be emptied of pride, doubt, and fear in order to be filled with God’s grace and love. Just as a potter molds clay into a beautiful vessel, so too does God desire to shape us into vessels of honor for His glory (2 Timothy 2:21).
Let us surrender ourselves completely to His will and allow Him to work wonders within us. 2 Corinthians 9:8 says, “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things, at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” Let us draw inspiration from the story of Elijah being fed by ravens during his time of need (1 Kings 17:4-6). Just as God provided for Elijah in his hour of desperation, He will also provide for us if we make space for Him in our lives. May we have faith as Elijah did, trusting that God’s plans are greater than our own and that He will never forsake us. As children of God, let us embrace the journey of allowing God to write His story upon the pages of our hearts.
With faith as small as a mustard seed (Matthew 17:20), let us cultivate an environment where His presence can dwell richly within us. May we always remember that miracles happen beyond what we can imagine or comprehend when we make room for God.
Confession for Today
I decree and declare to create a room in my heart for the dwelling of the presence of God in the mighty name of Jesus.
