Numbers 13:30 “Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, ‘Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it’.”
Whenever you are faced with any opposition in your journey of faith, you must not magnify the opposition or the enemy you are faced with because you are the powerhouse of God. By accepting Christ Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour, you become empowered through Christ Jesus to face and defeat any opposition that the enemy sends your way. When Moses sent out twelve men to spy out the Promised Land, ten of them felt intimidated by the occupants of the land and felt it would be a disaster if the people of Israel went up against them. Joshua and Caleb, on the other hand, were of a different view. They knew what they were capable of doing with God as their guide. They were bold enough to tell the people to ignore the negative report, for they could overcome the giants of the land. Joshua and Caleb did not deny the fact that there were the descendants of Anak on the land. Rather, they knew that God was on their side and no one was going to stop them from possessing the land. What do you do as a believer when faced with opposition? Do you easily give up and allow the enemy to win or you look within you to know that the Greater One (God) lives inside of you, which makes you more powerful than the enemy? As a believer, you should know that Christ Jesus defeated the enemy on the cross of Calvary and that victory is yours to appropriate over the enemy at all times. Inside you is the power of God and you are divinely empowered to rule and reign over the enemy at all times. You should not allow the enemy to intimidate you at any point in time. We shall continue tomorrow.
