Psalm 19:14 “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord my strength and my redeemer”.
One thing most Christians tend to overlook is the fact that their words and the meditations of their hearts would all be judged by God. God is very much concerned about the words you speak and the meditations of your heart. What you ought to know as a believer is that your words and the meditations of your heart should all be acceptable unto God. If the words of your mouth and the meditations of your heart are not acceptable unto God, then there is something wrong with your Christian faith. You should never lose sight of the fact that God shall judge you on every word that proceeds out of your mouth. That is why the Bible strongly advises in Ephesians 4:29 that you should not allow any unwholesome word to proceed from your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. Though no human being knows the meditations of a man’s heart, the same cannot be said of God. He knows the meditations of your heart and shall judge you accordingly. It is important to note that there is a strong connecting between the words that proceed out of your mouth and the meditations of your heart. It is out of the abundance of your heart that the mouth speaks according to Matthew 12:34. The Psalmist knew the importance of ensuring that his words and meditations are acceptable to God and that is why he prayed as such. We shall continue tomorrow.
