James 4:6 “But he gives more grace. Therefore, he says; ‘God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble’”.
When it comes to dealing with God, it is always important to know that He operates according to principles. Until you satisfy His principles or conditions, you should not expect to receive whatever you so desire from Him. It is the desire of all believers to enjoy the grace of God, but it is not so with most believers. This is because, though they desire the grace of God, they are not satisfying the principle with which God gives more grace. In order to attract more grace from God, you need to humble yourself. As the Bible passage for today states clearly, God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. You cannot be proud and still desire the grace from God; that is impossible. Though it is good to pray for something from God, He will only grant your desire based on your motive. Never forget that He is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipotent God and your motive cannot be hidden from Him. If your motive for asking is wrong, then certainly you are not going to receive. Do you desire more grace from God? As a user of this devotional, you need to check yourself as to whether you are humble or proud. If you do not want God to resist you, then you must deal with all forms of pride in every area of your life. You need to humble yourself in order to attract more grace from God. You cannot claim to be a genuine child of God and not desire more grace from God; that’s why you ought to be humble at all times.
Confession for Today
I decree and declare to always be humble in order to attract more grace from God in the mighty name of Jesus.
