Acts 28:6 “However, they were expecting that he would swell up or suddenly fall down dead, but after they had looked for a long time and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds and said that he was a god”.
When the snake entangled the hands of Apostle Paul after the shipwreck on his way to Rome as a prisoner, the natives did nothing to help him. They were rather looking on to see him swell up or suddenly fall down dead as stated by today’s Bible passage. The good news is that, instead of Paul falling down dead by their evil expectations, nothing of that sort happened to him. One fact you should not lose sight of is that your enemies expect nothing good but evil concerning your life. Paul had his protection from God and there was no way the evil expectations of the people were going to be made manifest. I do not know the evil that your enemies are expecting to happen to you, a user of this devotional guide; what I know is that those waiting to hear evil news about you will be disappointed in the name of Jesus. Just as the natives waited in vain, so shall your enemies wait in vain in the name of Jesus. There are enemies having evil expectations against your marriage, health, finances, business, academics and every area of your life; but I have news for them from the throne room of God. Their evil expectations shall backfire in the name of Jesus. I declare over your life that no harm shall befall you and no evil imaginations or expectations from your enemies shall be made manifest in the name of Jesus. You are fully covered and protected on every side in Christ Jesus and there is no way the enemy can touch you in the name of Jesus. I declare over your life that you are untouchable, unstoppable and fully secure in the name of Jesus.
