Daniel 3:24b-25 “Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said to the king, ‘true, O king’. Look he answered, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the forth is like the Son of God”
Many a time when Christians go through challenging or difficult times the first question they tend to ask is where is God. Some even go to the extent of questioning God. I want us to ask ourselves these questions; why is it that God didn’t prevent Meshach, Shadrach and Abed-nego from going into the fire? Where was God when Daniel was being put into the lion’s den and where was God when Joseph was being sent to prison? In all these situations, God did not prevent them from going into the situation. Meshach, Shadrach and Abed-nego resolved that, no matter the situation, they were not going to deny their God. That should be your resolve in the face of challenges. But the good news is that God showed up for them to glorify His holy name. I don’t know that situation you are going through that is making you question God, but I want you to realize that, if only you keep your faith in God and don’t give up, He will surely show up for you. I don’t think the three Hebrew friends saw the fourth person with them in the fire. But those outside surely did see a fourth man whom they likened to the Son of God with them in the fire. This is an indication that, no matter what you are going through, God is surely with you. He has not and will never abandon you. The fact that you cannot see Him doesn’t mean that He is not with you. Daniel didn’t see God in the lion’s den, but the fact that the lions didn’t touch him is an indication that God was with him even in the den. I want you to rest assured that, no matter the situation at hand, God is surely with you and will never leave you or forsake you. He will surely show up for you; just keep your faith in Him.
Confession for Today
I decree and declare that I am not afraid of whatever may come my way from the camp of the enemy, for God will always show up for me in the mighty name of Jesus
