Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God”.
It is the desire of everyone to ascend to the highest point in life. Be it academics, business or any endeavour, there is always the desire to aspire to the very top, for nobody desires to be down. It is good to aspire to rise as high as possible in ministry, finances, education and every area of life, but it is equally important to note that success is not cheap and can never be attained on a silver platter. Never forget that there is no crown without a cross and you must suffer to gain. It is common knowledge to all believers and the scripture for today attests that Jesus sits at the right hand of the throne of God and at the mention of His name, every knee on earth, beneath the earth and in the heavens shall bow. Jesus earned this enviable position on merit by enduring to the end. He suffered severe beatings, bore excruciating pain and shame on His way to attain His present position though He was completely innocent of all the charges levelled against Him. Most Christians want to attain the very heights in their ministry or calling, or in their chosen profession, but are not prepared to endure for what they so require. There is a rise in false prophets because some so-called men of God are not prepared to pay the price for the oil they so desire. They are prepared to trade their souls with the enemy in order to attain power rather than endure under the feet of God for the power they so desire. It is very dangerous to seek to rise to the top through foul means, for that is not what is expected of you a child of God. We shall continue tomorrow.
Confession for Today
I decree and declare that I will always endure in order to attain the crown set before me in the mighty name of Jesus.
