Zechariah 4:10 “For who has despised the day of small things”
There is an old adage which says that “the big man you now see was once a suffering child”. What this adage seeks to portray is that the big man whom you now appreciate had a small beginning. Talking of small beginnings, you can learn a lot from a seed. When you take the seed of a fruit, within it lies a large farm. For instance, in the seed of an orange lies a tree that will produce many oranges and many seeds which will then lead to the production of many orange trees and consequently, an orange farm. As a Christian, you should not ignore small beginnings. Most people don’t want to experience small beginnings; which is very bad. As another adage goes, “Rome was not built in a day”. Whatever God has given you to do, what you have to bear in mind is that it will take your faithfulness and dedication to the small beginning that will lead to the growth in what you are doing. Today, MOGPA is fast spreading to all the corners of the world and have branches in twenty countries and counting. But what most people tend to forget is that it started with just some few people at Dufie Conference Centre. Today, MOGPA meetings constantly fill up the Anane Boateng Sports Stadium at Abrankese. Before God will entrust you with bigger things, He will first watch how faithful you are with the small things. Most of the youth of today want to enjoy the finest things in life, but they are not prepared to work their way towards it. It doesn’t matter how small you start; if only you are faithful, God will surely enlarge your coast so don’t ignore your small beginnings.
Confession for Today
I decree and declare that I will never ignore any small beginning, for out of it will come greater things in Jesus’ name.
